Georgi Kafelov, CSPO®, has extensive work experience in the financial industry, specifically in the areas of product management and risk management. Georgi currently holds the position of Product Leader at Tarya Fintech, where they have been working since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as a Product Manager at Tarya Fintech from September 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining Tarya Fintech, Georgi worked at Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria for a significant part of their career. Georgi held various roles within the bank, including Product Owner in the Micro Lending Agile Squad, Deputy Head of the Micro Risk Management Department, Business Leader for the Upgrade of Decision Engine project, and Business Leader for the eLoan project. In these positions, they were responsible for developing scoring models, implementing policy requirements, managing arrears and default indicators, and collaborating on the development and implementation of fraud prevention systems.

Georgi also served as a Supervisor in the Section Credit Risk of the Micro Risk Management Department, where they managed and supervised the work of Risk Managers and made final decisions on credit applications. As a Team Leader in the Section Risk Infrastructure, they oversaw the development and coordination of risk infrastructure projects. Additionally, they worked as a Risk Manager and Specialist in SME lending, where they gained experience in evaluating credit applications and managing risk.

Prior to joining Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria, Georgi worked at Société Générale Expressbank as an Account Officer for both SME clients and individual clients.

Georgi Kafelov, CSPO®, has a strong educational background in finance. Georgi obtained their Master's degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Finance with a specialization in Corporate finance from the same university, graduating in 2005.

Georgi's education journey started at the "Vasil Levski" High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Smolyan. From 1996 to 2001, they pursued a comprehensive profile of Mathematics with a thorough study of English and Informatics.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Georgi holds the certification of Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance®. Georgi obtained this certification in November 2019, further enhancing their expertise and versatility in the field of project management.
