Jonathan Tan, P.Eng

Jonathan Tan, P.Eng has a diverse work experience in various industries. Jonathan is currently employed as a Senior Process Engineer at Taseko Mines Limited since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sepro Systems as a Process & Technical Sales Engineer from February 2021 to January 2023. In this role, they were responsible for sales and business development of mineral processing equipment and systems, as well as analyzing and determining the best process technology solutions for clients.

Before Sepro Systems, Jonathan worked at Sepro Labs (Formally Met-Solve Laboratories) as a Metallurgical Engineer for ten years, overseeing laboratory operations, conducting feasibility studies, managing a team of lab technicians, and evaluating mineral processing equipment.

Jonathan also gained experience in customer service and technical advice as a Tire/Auto Parts Specialist at Canadian Tire from 2010 to 2011. Jonathan started their career as a Co-op Student in the mineral processing department at Vale Inco in 2007, where they conducted testing and prepared samples for analysis. Jonathan also worked as a Process Operator at Teck Resources Limited in 2006.

In addition, Jonathan had a brief period of experience as a Test Engineer at Ballard Power Systems in 2008. Overall, Jonathan has a strong background in process engineering, sales, laboratory operations, and customer service.

Jonathan Tan, P.Eng has a comprehensive education history in engineering. Jonathan pursued their undergraduate studies at The University of British Columbia from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science with First-Class honors in Materials Engineering. Following their undergraduate degree, Jonathan continued their academic journey at the same institution, enrolled as a Master of Applied Science Candidate in Mining and Mineral Engineering from 2018 to 2022.
