Maruxa Quiroga has worked in various roles and positions throughout their career. In 2007, they started as a Project Manager and Researcher at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Maruxa later joined AZTI Tecnalia in 2010, where they held the positions of Responsible for Sensory Laboratory and Researcher, as well as Sensory Science and Consumer Researcher. In 2015, they co-founded and became the CEO of TasteLab. In 2019, they became a Profesora asociada at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and also took on the role of Referente Gallega at Executivas de Galicia.
