Smita Puthran

Smita Puthran is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the education loans sector. Currently serving as the National Credit Manager for Education Loans at Tata Capital since September 2023, Smita also holds the position of National Credit Head for Education Loans and Personal Loans at CSB Bank Limited since December 2020. Prior roles include AVP and Lead of the Centralised Processing Unit at Avanse Financial Services Ltd., and Regional Credit Manager for Education Loans. Smita's career began at HDFC Credila Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. as an Area Credit Manager and at HSBC as a Credit Officer for Personal Loans. Smita completed a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics between 2000 and 2004.
