Purushothaman Kannan

Purushothaman Kannan is an experienced professional in the telecommunications field, currently serving as Deputy General Manager for IP capacity planning and management at Tata Communications since December 2012. Responsibilities include overseeing IP/MPLS/Ethernet capacity planning for the global TCL network, designing and implementing new points of presence (PoP), planning annual operating budget capital expenditures and operating expenditures, supporting the Network Operations Center during significant cable system failures, and collaborating with product and operations teams to launch new services. Prior to this role, Purushothaman worked at BHARTI AIRTEL Ltd from May 2007 to December 2012 as a Senior Engineer in service delivery provisioning and traffic engineering. Purushothaman holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication from Ranipet Engineering College, completed in 2006.
