Swapnil Patil

Swapnil Patil possesses extensive experience in the commodities trading and risk management sectors, currently serving as the Head of Iron Ore and DRI Trading at Tata International Limited since October 2023, while also acting as the Interim Head of the Central Freight Desk. Prior to this role, Swapnil led the ferrous commodities trading business for Black Sand Commodities in India. From April 2005 to July 2023, Swapnil was with Vedanta Resources Limited, holding various significant positions including Head of Business Controls and Risk Management, Director of Group Commercial, and Head of Raw Material Procurement for the Pig Iron & Metcoke division. Swapnil's early career included a role as Associate Finance Manager at Sterlite Technologies Limited. Educated at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies with a Master's in Management Studies (Finance) and holding a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from the University of Mumbai, Swapnil's academic foundation aligns with a robust career trajectory.
