Subhra Datta, PhD, has a diverse and extensive work experience in risk and analytics. Subhra currently holds the position of Head - Risk and Analytics at Tata Motor Finance since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head - Business Intelligence Unit at Tata Motor Finance from January 2021 to September 2022.

Before joining Tata Motor Finance, Subhra worked as the Chief Analytics Officer at Retra from July 2018 to January 2021. Subhra was responsible for leading analytics initiatives and driving data-driven strategies in the company.

From 2013 to 2018, Subhra held various roles at Sutherland Global Services. Subhra served as the Head - Analytics CoE, leading a team of 60+ members and catering to the analytics needs of various verticals. Additionally, they led the team as a modeling expert and developed multiple analytics products for Banking, Insurance, and Healthcare sectors.

Subhra also has work experience at Tata Capital Ltd., HSBC Bank, HDFC Bank, Connecturf India Private Limited, and IIPS, Mumbai, where they held roles focusing on risk modeling, analytics, research, and strategic planning.

Subhra Datta, PhD, has an extensive education history. In 1996, they completed their B.Sc. in Statistics (Honours) from Tripura University. Subhra further pursued their education and obtained an M.Sc. in Statistics from The University of Burdwan in 1999. In 2002, they completed an M.Phil. in Population Studies, specializing in Demography and Population Studies, from the International Institute for Population Sciences. Subsequently, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2010 from the same institute. In 2024, Subhra is expected to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in TATA Gems, a three-month basic management program for emerging leaders, offered by the TATA Management Training Centre in collaboration with Symbiosis, Pune.
