Rajiv Bansal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in supply chain management and procurement. Currently serving as the Head of Supply Chain at Tata Motors Limited since April 2010, Rajiv oversees procurement and supply chain activities at the Jamshedpur plant, managing an annual purchase budget of approximately Rs 6000 crores and leading a team of 300 professionals. Rajiv has successfully implemented methodologies such as MRP, JIT, and KANBAN to manage the scheduling and procurement of 15,000 parts monthly and coordinates operations across multiple warehouses. Prior to this role, Rajiv held key positions at Tata Marcopolo Motors Ltd and Tata Motors, including Assistant General Manager roles in materials and purchasing. Rajiv's career began at Hindustan Copper Limited as an Industrial Engineer, with educational credentials from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and RV College of Engineering.
