Sony Jha

Sony Jha is an experienced professional in the field of contracts and procurement, currently serving as the Head of Department - Contracts at TATA Power since October 2024. Prior to this role, Sony held various leadership positions at TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited, including Head of Department - Contracts and Head of Group - Procurement from July 2020 to November 2024. Sony's career began at Tata Power Company Ltd, progressing from Manager Procurement to Team Lead from August 2006 to June 2020, and earlier held the position of Protection & Testing Engineer at Tata Power Delhi Distribution Company Ltd from July 2004 to July 2006. Sony holds a PGCBM in Business Administration and Management from XLRI Jamshedpur (2012-2013) and an Engineer’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (2000-2004).
