Prior roles at Tata Steel include Managing Director of Business Planning & Supply Chain, where Lauber implemented Industry 4.0 strategies, and Managing Director of Steel Distribution Europe, leading Steel Service Center operations across multiple European countries. Previous experience at thyssenkrupp Steel involved various roles in plant engineering, supply chain management, corporate strategy, and business development. Jens Lauber holds a Dr.-Ing. in Process Control Engineering and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.

We are going to make steel on the basis of hydrogen. By doing so, we expect to emit 35% to 40% less CO2 by 2030. Our goal is to produce completely CO2-neutral steel by 2045.
