Chantal Dekker

Chantal Dekker is an experienced professional currently serving as the Maritime Sustainability Lead and ESG Lead for Responsible Sourcing of raw materials at Tata Steel since September 2020. Prior to this role, Chantal held various positions including Paralegal and Legal Project Manager at Simmons & Simmons from 2015 to 2017, and Investor Relations Officer at AkzoNobel from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Legal Assistant and Project Manager at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek from 2012 to 2014, and a Legal Intern at VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne from 2012 to 2013. Chantal's educational background includes a course on Minerals and Mining in a Sustainable World from The University of Queensland, a Master in Private Law from the University of Amsterdam, and Bachelor of Laws degrees from both the City University of Hong Kong and Erasmus University Rotterdam, along with a Bachelor in Communications from Schoevers.
