Sumit Agarwal

Sumit Agarwal has extensive experience in finance and auditing, currently serving as the Head of Internal Audit at Tata Steel since May 2010. Prior to this role, Sumit held several positions at Tata Steel, including Senior Plant Finance Manager and Senior Manager of Corporate Audit Finance & Commercial. Sumit began a career in finance at Magma Fincorp Ltd. as an Assistant Manager in Accounts for Retail Loan and briefly worked at R Mitruka & Associates in a similar role. Academically, Sumit holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Master's Degree in International Business, Trade, and Tax Law from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and a B.Com (Hons.) in Accounts from the University of Calcutta. Additionally, Sumit completed the CPA Australia program, earning the ASA designation.
