Thomas Hogan has worked at four different companies over the past six years. Thomas began their career in 2014 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2016, they joined the University of California, Davis as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant. In 2018, they interned at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Machine Learning Research Intern, where they investigated the security of image classifiers (deep neural networks) in critical applications, read state of the art literature on adversarial machine learning, and developed new algorithms capable of breaking security through obscurity defenses. In 2019, they joined Tatari as a Data Scientist and was later promoted to Senior Data Scientist.
Thomas Hogan received their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara in 2014, followed by a Master's Degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara in 2016. Thomas then went on to receive their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis in 2019.
