Carol Jacobi is an experienced curator and educator specializing in British art from 1850 to 1915. Since July 2012, Carol has served as the Curator of British Art at Tate, managing the permanent collection through acquisitions, research, maintenance, and the organization of exhibitions and public outreach activities. Previously, Carol held roles including Guest Curator at The New Art Gallery Walsall and Lecturer at both the Courtauld Institute of Art and Birkbeck, University of London, where Carol was also Course Leader for History of Art. Additional positions include Lecturer in History of Art at Oxford Brookes University and Leverhulme Fellow at the National Portrait Gallery. Carol's curatorial work includes co-curating significant exhibitions such as "Sin and Salvation" at multiple venues. Educational credentials include a PhD in History of Art from Birkbeck and a Master's degree in Nineteenth Century Literature from King's College London.
