Tate
Neil McConnon serves as the Director of Programme at Mucha Foundation since March 2025, focusing on enhancing public understanding of Alphonse Mucha's work through innovative content and programs. From May 2020, Neil has also held the position of Director of International Partnerships at Tate Modern, where responsibilities include developing exhibition strategies and fostering global collaborations. Prior experience includes a decade as Head of Barbican International Enterprises at the Barbican Centre, overseeing the creation of modern and contemporary international exhibitions, and a role as Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art in London from 1999 to 2002. Neil McConnon holds a BA Hons in Fine Art from Central St. Martin's School of Art and an MA in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, along with an overseas study scholarship in Fine Art from the British Council.

When Tate first opened its doors to the public in 1897 it had just one gallery, displaying a small collection of British artworks. Today we have four major galleries and the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international modern and contemporary art, which includes nearly 80,000 artworks. Tate is a public institution owned by, and existing for, the public.
