David Woods

After studying political science at the University of Pittsburgh, David spent 15 years in the full-time ministry serving in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and London, England. In 2003 he and his wife Denise moved to Delaware, where he began his career in fundraising and community development. David helped start the Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington and then went on to lead Social Venture Partners Delaware. Today, he is the director of fundraising and resource development for Autism Delaware.

In 2005 David and Denise joined the Tatnall family when the oldest of their three Tatnall-educated daughters enrolled in the Early Learning Center. They loved and prepared my daughters in an amazing way. The Tatnall School gives children opportunities and tools like no other school to excel in the arts, athletics, and academics, all within an amazing community.”

In addition to his service on the Tatnall board since 2009, David also serves as an advisor to the youth philanthropy board of the Delaware Community Foundation.
