Mel Burge

People and Culture at Tattarang

Mel Burge has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2006, Mel worked as a Surveyor for Rio Tinto. In 2008, Mel moved to BHP, where they worked as a Surveyor until 2010. At this point, Mel returned to Rio Tinto and worked as a Plant Administrator until 2017. During this time, Mel also worked as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Operator, driving haul packs on site. In 2018, Mel moved to the Department for Education, where they worked as a Corporate Services Manager until 2020. In 2021, Mel worked as a People and Culture for both Minderoo Foundation and Tattarang. Currently, Mel is working as a Specialist Project Information Management for BHP.

Mel Burge is currently enrolled in the Human Resources program at the Australian Institute of Management. Prior to this, Mel studied Surveying Engineering at North Metropolitan TAFE. Mel also has experience in Graphic Design, having completed several courses at South Regional TAFE, including a Certificate IV in Graphic Design. Additionally, Mel has obtained two certifications from LinkedIn, one in How to Present and Stay on Point (obtained in June 2022) and another in 15 Secrets Successful People Know about Time Management (getAbstract Summary) (obtained in December 2021).
