Urban Spaces Project Lead at Tauranga City Council

Ana Hancock is an experienced urban planner and project lead with a robust background in urban strategy and development. Currently serving as the Urban Spaces Project Lead and Urban Strategy Planner at Tauranga City Council since December 2017, responsibilities include advising the Council's City Transformation Committee, managing the development of the Tauranga Urban Strategy, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, including Tangata Whenua. Prior to this role, Ana held multiple positions at Auckland Council, where achievements encompassed program management for the Tamaki Redevelopment area and the successful assessment of numerous Special Housing Area requests. Ana's educational qualifications include a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Maori and Pacific Development from the University of Waikato.
