Jo Finlay

Jo Finlay is an accomplished event management professional currently serving as the Event Development Project Lead at Tauranga City Council since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles at Whakatāne District Council, where Jo held multiple positions such as Venue and Event Advisor, Marketing Coordinator, and Event Coordinator from September 2019 to April 2023. Jo also served as the Managing Director of PROevents NZ Ltd from December 2011 to April 2022. With a strong passion for events and enhancing the Bay of Plenty region's experiences, Jo specializes in sponsorship and marketing, consistently delivering exceptional customer service. Jo holds a Certified Festivals and Events Executive designation from IFEA and a Licentiate Teaching Diploma in Speech & Drama from Trinity College, London. Educational background also includes attendance at Bethlehem College and St Pauls Collegiate.
