Sampath Dissanayake

Sampath Dissanayake is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in water resources and civil engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Planning Engineer for Tauranga City Council since January 2023, Sampath previously held various leadership roles at the National Water Supply and Drainage Board between March 2012 and December 2022, including Chief Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Civil Engineer. Additional experience includes positions as a Design Engineer at Ecas-Ej Consultants, Geotechnical Engineer at Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd., and Civil Engineer at TOA Corporation and Access Engineering PLC. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Management of Urban Water and Sanitation Services from AgroParisTech, a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering also from the University of Moratuwa.
