Toby Matthewson

Toby Matthewson is an experienced Enterprise Architect with a strong background in business analysis and management consulting. Currently serving at Tauranga City Council since January 2025, Toby previously worked at EastPack Limited from March 2020 to January 2025 in similar roles. As the founder of Agathis Risk from 2016 to 2019, Toby specialized in defining and implementing digital systems within the financial, healthcare, and cleantech sectors, handling various projects including market research and product backlog prioritization. Additional experience includes positions at CognitionX as Growth Manager, Strategic Risk International as ALM/IFRS 9 Consultant and Deputy CEO, and a part-time role during MBA studies advising banks on risk management practices. Toby holds an MBA from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Physics from the University of Canterbury.
