Michiel Wilhelm

Michiel Wilhelm is an experienced aquatic ecology advisor and project leader with a strong background in ecological project management. Currently serving at Tauw Nederland since September 2016, Michiel leads projects focused on aquatic ecological issues, including involvement in significant studies such as the Scenariostudie Amstelmeer. Additionally, since December 2021, Michiel has contributed practical knowledge as an advisor for Waterdiertjes.nl, promoting underwater life. With experience in advising on ecological water quality for the Municipality of Amsterdam and providing ecological insights at Waterschap Drents Overijsselse Delta, Michiel has held various leadership positions, including Head of Ecology at Grontmij Nederland B.V. and team leader at AquaSense. An alumnus of Wageningen University & Research, Michiel holds an ir degree in biology specializing in aquatic ecology.
