Nick Hales

Nick Hales has extensive work experience in IT and Information Security. Nick is currently the Head of IT and Information Security at Tax Systems, where they manage the organization's Information Security and IT strategy. Nick also drives ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 Certification and delivers Information Security change programs. Prior to this, Nick worked as an ISO 27001 Lead at Omni Telemetry, where they defined the scope and resources needed to achieve certification. Nick has also held the role of Chief Technical Officer/CISO at Whitespace Work Software and AllOnMobile, where they were responsible for defining the company vision, strategy, and delivery. Additionally, Nick has experience in project management and team leadership, having worked as an Interim BI Team & L2 Manager at Medtronic and a Project Manager at Medtronic (Covidien Group). Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated success in driving business growth and implementing strategic initiatives.

Nick Hales has a diverse education history. Nick obtained a DMS degree in Management (Project Management) from Henley Business School, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Real-time Computing from the University of the West of England, attending from 1990 to 1994. Before university, Nick studied Computer Studies at City of Bath College, where they achieved an HNC degree from 1986 to 1988. Nick's earliest known education is from Wellsway School in Keynsham, although specific degree information is not available. In addition to their formal education, Nick has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they acquired the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from BCS. In the same year, they also achieved the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from APM Group. Furthermore, in 2010, Nick earned a Level 1 Certification in Coaching Football from The Football Association.
