Palani Andiappan

Palani Andiappan has extensive experience in the field of data management and architecture. Palani has held various roles in different companies, starting with MCI WORLDCOM Communications Inc as a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer in 1995. Palani then joined Transamerica in 2003, where they advanced data analytics across multiple departments and led a business intelligence development team. At ACT, Palani served as the Principal Data Architect, designing an enterprise data warehouse and delivering data integral to various teams' revenue-generating efforts. As the Chief Data Architect at Athene USA, they designed the company's target state architecture and played a key role in restructuring the data warehouse and establishing data governance practices. Palani also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at The University of Iowa, where they taught database systems to senior year and graduate students and received recognition for being a positive influence in students' lives. Currently, Palani is the Head of Data at TaxAct, leading a team in executing the data roadmap and focusing on improving data analytics, reporting, and data science capabilities.

Palani Andiappan has a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology, General from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

In terms of certifications, Palani Andiappan has obtained the Asian Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company in January 2023. Palani also holds the Oracle Hyperion ESSBASE Certified BI Expert certification from Oracle, which they obtained in April 2012.
