Austin Woodward

Co-Founder & CEO at TaxBit

Austin Woodward is the co-founder and CEO of TaxBit, a company that provides tax automation software for cryptocurrency businesses. Prior to founding TaxBit, Woodward was the controller at Qualtrics, where they oversaw the finance and accounting team.

Woodward joined Qualtrics in 2013, when the company was still in its early stages. Austin played a significant role in Qualtrics' growth, which included expanding the company to over 2,000 employees worldwide and increasing revenues to $400 million. In 2019,Qualtrics was acquired by SAP for $8 billion.

At Qualtrics, Woodward was responsible for leading various projects, such as system implementations and technical accounting implementations. Austin also administered the capitalization table and stock plan, forecasted financial performance, and oversaw the month-end and quarter-end close processes. In addition, Woodward prepared Qualtrics for its initial public offering (IPO), including handling SEC review comments and S-1 buy-off.

After Qualtrics was acquired by SAP, Woodward went on to co-found TaxBit. at TaxBit, Woodward is using their experience from Qualtrics to help the company automate taxes for cryptocurrency businesses.

Austin Woodward graduated from Brigham Young University with a Masters of Accounting. Austin is currently certified from Utah Business as one of their "40 Under 40" and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
