Otto Ruys has a diverse work experience. Otto co-founded Taxi Butler in 2013 and played a significant role in its growth, with the devices being used in over 40 countries. In 2015, they co-founded SELFSKIE, a company that developed phone and GoPro accessories. In 2011, Otto co-founded TomTom Taxi and was responsible for leading a team in creating innovative products. Prior to that, they were the co-founder of NewToast, which was acquired by TomTom. Otto also has experience as the owner of Boga Computers and as a founding partner of Bttn, an IoT service. In 2020, they co-founded Driver Bubble and 20test, focusing on driver safety and testing, respectively. Overall, Otto has demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation throughout their career.
Otto Ruys began their education journey at the Rijnlands Lyceum in 1991, where they completed their VWO degree in 1998. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at the University of Groningen from 1998 to 2004.
