María Lucila González Álvarez

María Lucila González Álvarez has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. María Lucila began their career as a Pollster at Aresco from 2000 to 2001. María Lucila then moved on to Estudio Guadagnini, where they worked as a Tax & Accounting Analyst, specializing in financial statements preparation and tax compliance for corporate and individual clients from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they joined Philip Morris Latin American Services S.R.L., serving as a Senior Tax Accountant and later as an Intercompany Accountant. At Philip Morris, they handled tax strategies, research, and training for affiliates in Colombia and Costa Rica. María Lucila also assisted with payroll, payables, and receivables matters and played a key role in the migration of the Intercompany team. María then transitioned to a Financial Shared Services Manager role at NSN - Nokia Solutions and Networks, where they led the Tax Team and was responsible for tax strategy planning, preparation, and review. María Lucila also assumed the role of Team Leader and oversaw the creation of procedure handbooks for tax processes. From 2015 to 2021, María worked at Thomson Reuters as an Indirect Tax Senior Manager for Latin America, Corporates Product Operations. María Lucila worked in a global team and was involved in creating, maintaining, and updating tax content for ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance software, ensuring delivery according to the roadmap for various regions. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager - Global Tax Content at Taxually, starting in 2021.

María Lucila González Álvarez started their education at the University of Buenos Aires in 2000, where they pursued a degree in Public Accountancy, specializing in Economics. María Lucila completed their degree in 2005. In 2013, María Lucila pursued a Postgraduate program in Planning and Strategic Management at the same university. María Lucila completed the program within that same year. In 2014, María Lucila enrolled at the University of Buenos Aires again, this time focusing on Project Management. Their studies in this field lasted until 2015. Additionally, in February 2023, María Lucila obtained a certification in Business Innovation Foundations from LinkedIn.
