Steve Bennett

Steve Bennett has over 25 years of experience in various roles related to design technology and AEC technologies. Steve is currently the Director of Design Technology and a Senior Associate at Taylor Design, where they lead the design technology team and specializes in BIM workflows. Prior to their current role, they held positions as the Design Technology Manager and BIM Manager at Taylor Design, where they introduced drone technology into project workflows.

Before joining Taylor Design, Steve worked at Moffatt & Nichol as a CAD Manager, providing technical leadership and mentoring to project teams. Steve also served as a CAD Manager at HMC Architects, where they played a role in business development, communication, and leadership.

Earlier in their career, Steve worked at U.S. CAD as a Technical Manager and Technical Specialist, focusing on architecture and design visualization. Steve also gained experience as a Design Tech at Trus Joist and as a Customer Support Specialist at Ganahl Lumber.

Steve has also been actively involved in the AUGI community, serving as an Administrator and a Community Manager for Autodesk user groups, providing technical support and managing forums.

Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated expertise in AEC technologies, collaborative project workflows, and leadership in design technology.
