Jewellery Designer at Taylor & Hart

Mark Rochford has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Mark started their career as a Programming Intern at Luminato in 2012, where they gained experience in arts and entertainment. Mark then worked as a Technical Production Assistant, Front of House Manager, and Convocation Marshal at the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2014.

In 2012, Mark returned to Luminato as an Assistant to the Artistic Director, where they assisted with communication management, administration, scheduling, and event coordination. Mark also worked as a Production Associate, overseeing the production of R. Murray Schafer's "Apocalypsis" at Toronto's Sony Centre.

Mark joined Maison Birks in 2015 as a Sales Professional, where they focused on selling fine jewelry and timepieces. Mark also managed services such as jewelry repair, appraisals, and special orders. After leaving Birks in 2017, Mark worked as an Administrator for the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of British Columbia, where they handled conference preparation, membership processing, and web advertising sales.

In 2018, Mark took on the role of Venue Manager at Assembly Festival, where they managed multiple theatrical spaces and coordinated front of house activities during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Mark also worked as a Sales Professional at Four Seasons Recruitment.

Mark's experience in the jewelry industry continued with a role as a Client Advisor at Bulgari, where they focused on sales at a pop-up shop in Selfridges. Mark then joined The Jewellery Cut in 2018 as an Event Manager and Editorial Contributor, where they managed project-based event management and contributed to editorial content creation.

Mark's most recent experience is as a Jewellery Designer and Jewellery Design Consultant at Taylor & Hart, starting in 2019.

Mark Rochford attended the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies. Prior to that, they studied at Queen's University from 2007 to 2011, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Drama and Health Studies. Additionally, in July 2017, Mark obtained a certification as a Pearl Specialist from the Cultured Pearl Association of America Inc.
