Eshetu Tesfaye

Eshetu Tesfaye has had extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Eshetu is currently employed as the Executive Director of Biostatistics at Taysha Gene Therapies since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director of Biostatistics at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from October 2017 to April 2021. From May 2014 to October 2017, they held the position of Associate Director of Biostatistics at PPD. Eshetu also worked as an Associate Director of Biostatistics at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals from July 2012 to May 2014. Before transitioning to the industry, Eshetu was a Senior Research Scientist of Biostatistics at Eli Lilly and Company from July 2007 to July 2012. Eshetu began their career as a Biostatistician at Kendle International, Inc. from May 2005 to May 2007. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Western Michigan University from August 2002 to May 2006.

Eshetu Tesfaye has a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Alberta, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Eshetu further pursued their education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistics from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 1998 to 2002.
