Michael W. Lawlor

Michael W. Lawlor is currently an advisor at Taysha Gene Therapies. Prior to this, they were an associate professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children's Hospital of Wisconsin from September 2011 to June 2020. Michael's research focuses on the development and translation of treatments for muscle disorders ranging from preclinical studies to human clinical trials. Michael was a research fellow at Children's Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School from July 2008 to August 2011 and a neuropathology fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital from July 2004 to June 2008.

Michael W. Lawlor graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in Biology. Michael then attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where they earned their M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Michael is Board Certified Anatomic and Neuropathologist and has a certification from The American Board of Pathology.
