Tõnis Tasa

Tõnis Tasa is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Business Development at TBD Pharmatech since October 2021. Previously, Tõnis held positions as a Consultant and Chief Product Officer at Antegenes from September 2018 to July 2024, where significant contributions included the development and market introduction of four CE-certified genetic risk assessment tests. Tõnis's prior experience includes leading business development at ToxInvent OÜ, focused on preclinical oncology drug development, and academic roles at the University of Tartu, where Tõnis completed PhD studies in bioinformatics and served as a Teaching Assistant in Data Mining. Additional academic experience includes a visiting PhD stint at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and an assistant role at SEB Eesti. Tõnis holds a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master's degree, and a Bachelor of Science, all from the University of Tartu.
