Angie Jones

Angie Jones has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Angie is currently the Global Vice President of Developer Relations at TBD, where they lead Developer Relations, Open Source Programs, and Community Management teams. Angie'sresponsibilities include building open source toolkits, providing developer education, advocating for developers, and fostering an inclusive community.

Prior to their current role, Angie worked at Applitools as an Advisory Board Member and held various positions, including Senior Director of Developer Relations, Engineering Manager, Principal Developer Advocate, and Senior Developer Advocate. In these roles, they focused on educating the developer community on Visual AI and test automation through tutorials, blog posts, videos, conference talks, and workshops. Angie also provided feedback and collaboration to influence the overall developer experience.

Angie also has experience working at Twitter as a Senior Software Engineer, where they created native mobile automation frameworks and developed automated tests for web applications. Angie has also worked at LexisNexis as a Consulting Automation Engineer and at Teradata as a Senior Automation Engineer, where they designed and developed automation test frameworks.

Additionally, Angie has taught programming courses as an Adjunct Professor at Durham Technical Community College and started their career at IBM as a Software Engineer and Master Inventor. Throughout their career, Angie has demonstrated a strong passion for quality products and has been known as the "in-house customer" due to their realistic test case scenarios and defect discovery.

Angie Jones holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. Angie also obtained a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Tennessee State University. Additionally, they have certifications in "Java: Automated API Testing with REST Assured" from LinkedIn (obtained in 2021) and "Sun Certified Java Programmer" from Sun Microsystems (obtained in 2002).
