Dave Coaty Jr. has a solid work experience in the surveying industry. Dave started their career in 2004 as a Surveyor, Party Chief at Cochrane Technologies, where they were responsible for installing survey computers/software and DGPS equipment on vessels. Dave also trained new associates on the equipment and ensured proper data recording and dispersion to clients. In 2008, they joined T.Baker Smith in a similar role, where they were involved in managing and operating complex technological systems in the offshore surveying industry. Dave developed the SEA-Net system, enabling the streaming of telemetry and video data between tugboats. Currently, they are the Business Owner of Sonar Mosaic Services, where they emphasize meeting deadlines, maintaining open communication, and completing projects according to client preferences.

Dave Coaty Jr. has a diverse education history in the field of Information Technology. In 2022, they obtained the Google IT Support Professional Certificate from Coursera, which provided him with specialized training in various aspects of IT support, such as system administration, IT infrastructure services, and IT security. Additionally, during the same period, they completed several other certifications through Coursera, including "Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User," "The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking," and "Technical Support Fundamentals."

Prior to their online courses, Dave attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1998 to 2003, where they earned an A.S. degree in Industrial Technology from the College of Engineering.
