Michael Smith

Michael (Mike) Smith holds extensive experience in government relations and policy advisory roles within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of Federal Government Relations at TC Energy since February 2023, Mike has previously held key positions at the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, including Senior Manager of Government Affairs. Prior experience includes roles at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission as a Program and Policy Advisor, and at the United States Senate, where Mike worked as a Cloakroom Assistant. With a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Tulsa, Mike has developed a strong background in legislative processes and intergovernmental affairs.
