Asad Baig has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Asad began their career as a Marketing Intern at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, where they developed communication strategies for high-profile donors and contacted potential sponsors and donors. Asad then worked as a Research Assistant at Information Technology University, where they interviewed startups competing for incubation, analyzed entrepreneurial pitches, and predicted pitching results.
Following this, Asad served as a Brand Representative at Plan9 - PITB's Tech Incubator, promoting their programs and facilitating their services on campus. Asad conducted research on potential target segments and analyzed the products and services of incubated startups to ensure market readiness.
Asad also gained experience as a Campus Ambassador for Careem, where they promoted their packages and student offers on campus. Asad researched current and potential consumer segments, developed student-catered promotional strategies, and identified spending patterns.
Asad then worked as a Marketing Strategist at SMCSE, where they sought and provided information to help companies determine their position in the marketplace. As part of their role, Asad collected and analyzed data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits, and forecasted and tracked marketing and sales trends.
Asad joined Information Technology University again, this time as a Fellow Research Analyst. Asad analyzed social media posts relating to terrorism and cricket in Pakistan, as well as assessed market prevalent sentiments.
Asad then transitioned to the role of a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Information Technology University. As a Teaching Assistant, Asad supported instructors in their academic duties, and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, they took on responsibilities such as preparing course materials, conducting tutorials, and grading assignments.
Most recently, Asad Baig joined TCP Software as an Account Executive, operating in the U.S market for medium-sized enterprises.
