Maria Mauro

Maria Mauro (Romolo) serves as Chief Compliance Officer at Castlelake since October 2021 and has held significant roles in compliance at TD, Société Générale, and Barclays over the past several years. At TD, Maria holds the position of Head of Compliance for US Wholesale Banking & Wealth and CCO of TD Securities (USA) LLC. Previous to these roles, Maria was Managing Director of Compliance at Société Générale, leading strategy and change, and spent over four years at Barclays in various compliance-focused positions, including Global Head of Surveillance and Americas Head of Compliance Services. Early career experience includes serving as Vice President and Counsel at Lehman Brothers and Special Counsel at the New York Stock Exchange, where Maria conducted investigations related to securities law violations. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from The George Washington University and a J.D. from New York Law School.
