Valerie Gillis

Valerie Gillis, FCPA, FCA, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning across several companies. Valerie is currently serving as the SVP, Head of TD Insurance Life, Health and Credit Protection at TD Insurance, where they provide strategic direction and leadership for the business. Prior to this, they held the position of SVP, Chief Risk Officer, TD Insurance and Wealth Management at TD, where they provided strategic advice and oversaw risk management functions. Additionally, Valerie served as the SVP Finance & Chief Accountant at TD from 2015 to 2021. Before joining TD, they had a long tenure at KPMG in Canada, where they held partner positions in Advisory Services.

Valerie Gillis, FCPA, FCA, CFA, completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BComH) degree at Queen's University from 1992 to 1996. Valerie later obtained their Chartered Accountant/Chartered Professional Accountant certification in 1997 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder in 2001.
