Benoit Mérel

Benoît Mérel is Deputy Managing Director, COO. A graduate of Chartered Accountancy, the Institut Commercial Supérieur de Paris and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques (Corporate Finance Program), Benoît Mérel began his career at AFP (Agence France Presse) in 1988 as a as Administrative and Financial Manager for Asia and the Pacific.

He joined MAZARS in 1990 as Audit Mission Director, before joining the France Telecom Group in 1994 where he held various financial positions, in particular in the International Networks Division.

In 2000, he was appointed to the Management Control Department of the France Telecom Group, where he became Director in 2003.

At the end of 2004, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Equant, a subsidiary of France Telecom listed in Paris and New York, leader in global services to international companies.

After withdrawing from the Equant coast, Benoit Mérel was appointed at the end of 2005 to the post of Member of the Management Board - Chief Financial Officer of TP Group, integrated telecommunications operator in Poland, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Benoit Mérel joined the TDF group in March 2008.
