Dennis Chi

Dennis Chi is a legal counsel at TDK Ventures. Dennis has served as the chief counsel for the InvenSense subsidiary of TDK Corporation from November 2017 onward. Dennis is responsible for managing all legal and intellectual property matters for InvenSense’s multinational fabless semiconductor design business, including counseling executive leadership, developing and licensing its patent portfolio to protect its core business, negotiating major commercial and strategic transactions, addressing employee and compliance matters, and managing a team of attorneys and patent professionals. Dennis has also provided in-house legal support to TDK's corporate venture capital arm, TDK Ventures, from its founding in Apr 2019 through Apr 2022.

Prior to their current position, Chi was the VP, General Counsel at TDK InvenSense. Dennis was also the Sr. Director, Legal (February 2018 - July 2020), Director, Legal (October 2017 - February 2018), and Sr. Counsel & Mgr. of Legal Operations (October 2014 - October 2017) at InvenSense. Before that, they were a co-founder and counsel at Prim and Plush. Dennis has also served as a Sr. Counsel at Broadcom Inc., a contract negotiator at Hewlett-Packard, an Axiom attorney at Flextronics, and a solo practitioner at Dennis Chi Law Office.

Chi began their career as a Business Restructuring & Reorganization Associate at Jones Day. Dennis then served as a law clerk/judicial extern at the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Illinois, Champaign County Circuit Court.
