Werner Lohwasser

Werner Lohwasser is the current corporate officer and chief operating officer of the electronic components business company at TDK. Werner has held this position since April 2013. Prior to that, they were the vice president of the power and specialty business unit at KEMET Electronics Corporation from January 2007 to April 2013. Werner also served as the vice president of business unit and president of business group CAP at EPCOS from May 2013 to May 2018. Lohwasser began their career at EPCOS in January 1997 as the director of tantalum research and development.

Dr. rer. nat Werner Lohwasser studied physics and material science at the Technical University of Munich, where they obtained their doctorate. Prior to that, they completed their Abitur at Willy Graf Gymnasium.

They are on a team with Noboru Saito - Senior Vice President, Chief Executive Officer of Sensor Systems Business Company, Ji Bin Geng - Corporate Officer, General Manager of Energy Devices Business Group of Energy Solutions Business Company, and Seiji Osaka - EVP, General Manager of Technology and Intellectual Property. Their manager is Shigenao Ishiguro, President & CEO.
