Te Pou
Alexia Black currently serves as the Kaiārahi Kaupapa/Project Lead at Te Pou, overseeing a workforce development initiative for the Mental Health and Addiction NGO support workforce in Aotearoa New Zealand. Prior experience includes roles such as Serious Adverse Event Reviewer at Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley, and (Interim) Director of Lived Experience and Engagement at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, where Alexia was instrumental in prioritizing lived experience in mental health services. Contributions to the area of disability advocacy and inclusion are evident through previous positions at People First New Zealand Ltd, the Ministry of Health, and various consultancy roles. Alexia holds a Master of User Design Experience from Victoria University of Wellington and additional qualifications in Māori language, public relations, and anthropology.

We're a source of information, tools, resources and support to inform service and workforce planning and development. Te Pou is a part of the Wise Group and is funded by the Ministry of Health.
