Andis Arietta

Andis Arietta, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. They started their career in 2007 as a Senior Expedition Guide at Spirit Walker Expeditions, where they worked until 2014. In 2010, they joined Sitka Conservation Society, initially as a Community Outreach Coordinator, then as the Director, Communications and Wilderness Research, and finally as the Director of Development. During this time, they also served as a Founding Board Member at the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance from 2010 to 2016. In 2015, Andis worked as a Conservation Consultant at The Nature Conservancy. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as an Instructor at Yale University. And currently, they hold the position of Managing Director, Data Scientist at Teach For America since May 2022.

Andis Arietta, PhD, completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Environmental Studies at Northland College from 2005 to 2008. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana, which they completed from 2014 to 2016. Upon finishing their Master's degree, they enrolled at Yale University in 2016, where they obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Environmental Studies by 2018. Continuing their education at Yale, Andis then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Studies, which they completed from 2016 to 2022.
