Chiat Lam

Chiat Lam has extensive work experience in application development, particularly in Java. From 2012 to present, they have held positions at Teach For America, starting as a Director of Application Development and then being promoted to Managing Director in 2019. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2012, Chiat worked at the American Institute of Physics as a Java Application Programmer. During their time at AIP, they were responsible for the development and support of multiple eCommerce stores, as well as the design and development of various web applications using Java Spring Framework and Hibernate. Chiat also played a role in maintaining and tuning the Java application servers used by AIP.

Chiat Lam pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Saint John's University. Following this, they went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering in 2004.
