David Schmidt

David Schmidt is an experienced educator specializing in English Language Development (ELD) and literacy instruction. Currently serving as an ELD Content Specialist for Teach For America, David develops professional development activities for new corps members. Previously, David worked as an ELD Professional Development Facilitator and Middle School ESOL Teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools, managing diverse caseloads and implementing effective ELD lessons. David's teaching experience extends to Towson University and the Peace Corps, where David trained English teachers and supported English language learners in various settings. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in TESOL from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Interdisciplinary Studies from Towson University.
