Kelsey Smith

Kelsey Smith is an experienced education professional with a background in leadership development, teaching, and curriculum consulting. Currently serving as Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development at Teach For America since March 2015, Kelsey has successfully coached teachers to achieve significant growth and retention rates surpassing the organizational average. An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, Kelsey has also contributed to professional development initiatives for corps members. Additional roles include teaching 1st grade in a low-income area and providing educational consulting through Just Right Reader. Kelsey holds multiple degrees, including an Education Specialist degree in Elementary and Middle School Administration from Delta State University and a Master's in Reading Education from Southeastern University.
