Teach For America
Malikah Fard-Allah currently serves as a Youth Programming Specialist at Startland Education since June 2022 and has been involved with Teach For America since January 2018, where Malikah holds the positions of Secretary and Treasurer for The Collective, a support network for teachers of color, and served as a Corps Member. Prior experience includes teaching English at Lee A. Tolbert from August 2018 to June 2022, and working as a Writing Center Tutor at Cottey College from September 2014 to August 2018, where Malikah provided assistance to college students in writing and communication. Malikah also worked as a Research Assistant, collaborating on projects related to Writing Centers. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Cottey College (2014-2018) and a Master of Education in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis (2018-2019), along with a brief study at Korea University in 2017.
