Munia Islam Mozumder has extensive experience in the education sector, with roles in various organizations. Munia Islam currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Teach For Bangladesh. Munia Islam Mozumder completed their Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship in Educational Administration, Policy and Planning at Vanderbilt University from 2022 to 2023. Before that, they obtained a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and School Improvement from BRAC University between 2015 and 2017. In 2015, they also earned a Master's degree in Governance and Development Studies from Jahangirnagar University. Prior to their master's degrees, they pursued a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) from Jahangirnagar University from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Munia participated in community service after the post-disaster recovery of the Fukushima Nuclear disaster at Fukushima University in 2013. Munia Islam completed their HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) in Science at Viqarunnisa Noon College from 2007 to 2009.

Munia also has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they became an HPAIR Delegate for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations. In 2022, they acquired the Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services. In 2020, they obtained the Core Humanitarian Standard certification from Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (DanChurchAid), and in 2015 they received the Certificate of Registration from the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh.
