Dr. Nicole Hughes

Dr. Nicole Hughes is a seasoned educational leader with extensive experience in school administration and leadership development. Currently serving as the National Director for School Leadership Development at Teach Plus since November 2021, Dr. Hughes leads programming and coaching for school and district administrators to enhance collective leadership among School Leaders. Prior to this role, Dr. Hughes was the Campus Principal at Buchtel Community Learning Center within Akron Public Schools from July 2018 to November 2021 and served as Headmistress/CEO at Pine Forge Academy from July 2014 to June 2018, focusing on creating a supportive educational environment. Dr. Hughes also holds a notable position as the Founding Principal at Foundation Collegiate Academy from July 2010 to July 2014 and has experience as a Teacher-Leader at Frederick Douglas Academy. Dr. Hughes’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Interprofessional Studies from Kent State University and multiple degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, Pace University, and Yale University.
