William Maloney

Dr. William Maloney has served as the Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center for over 10 years and is the Boswell Professor in Orthopedic Surgery. Focused on failures in surgical joint replacement, his research has paved the way for improvements in joint replacement surgery strategies and earned awards from the Hip Society. A member of the Central Program Committee of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Maloney serves as the chair of national organizations including the National Hip and Knee Registry Workgroup of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He completed his medical education at Columbia University and residency at Stanford University.
